and more women now go to
tire shops for their tire changeover. The storage service is
usually a service they are
interested in and that they appreciate. The same is true for customers
living in
cities with limited storage space. In the end, the tire
storage service should help you maintain customer
loyalty.
Choose the Good Tire Storing Rack
for your Business
Garages, tire shops and tire warehouses use different system to store customers tires. Tire shelvings (MTS-92, MTS-924, MTS-925) and folding cages (MLTFD) are the most popular types of storing system. In those types of racks the tires are on their tread making them more accessible. If you pile the tires you will loose time searching for the customers' tires and it will also be time consuming to handle other tires to get to the one you need. Martins Industries' rack has removable bars, fork entries under the cage for easier handling and is foldable to store more easily when not in use.
Tire Shelvings for Smaller Businesses
The three different adjustable tier tire shelvings are mainly used by tire shops, car dealerships, garages or small warehouses*. Those products (see picture at your right: MTS-92) are perfect for small quantities of tires and warehouses limited in height. In addition, for the 4 and 5 tier shelvings a mobile ladder is perfect for tire picking.
You will greatly benefit from storing your tires in tire racks not only by having an easy access to your tires but having more space to stock more tires or move easily with a forklift.
You can either rent or buy a tire storage rack. It is fast and it is an easy way to gain floor space.
Picking Tires Easily for Tire Folding Racks
The passenger and light truck tire folding rack (MLTFD) is also an ideal storage system for customer tires. The rack allows you to put the customers' tires back to back and save space. This tire rack is mainly used by big tire shops, tire warehouse and third party logistics (3PL). These folding cages are manipulated with either a fork lift, a picker or with the dolly (MLTFD-D).
Picking tires with those
types of racks can be done either with the light truck picking cage (MOPC-LT) or with the standard light truck
picking cage (MSOPC).
In both cases an employee is required. The racks can be folded and
stacked,
taking less space. You can either place them next to the receiving
docks or directly
where
the tire is changed. When the tire rack is full, you should
bring it
to the
storage area. We also have an interesting rental program (Rent-A-Rack)
for
these tire racks. This might be a solution for seasonal ups and downs
